Tech Tips
The first thing you should do is check your thermostats to make sure that they are set higher than the ambient room temperature.
You can also check the Emergency switch in the hallway to the basement.
If you still don't have any heat, check the tank gauge to make sure that you have oil. You can also push and hold down the red button on the oil burner to see if that will get it to fire.
If you press the reset button for any reason, make sure to contact ACE Oil & Heating to schedule a service call.
Do NOT push the button a second time if the burner turns off again or does not fire.
Contact our team at ACE Oil & Heating right away so we can come out and diagnose the problem.
The whistling noise is common and is made when the air in the tank is displaced when it is filled.
Most tanks feature an audible alarm that is designed to alert the truck driver that the tank is full.
